We believe rehoming should never be the starting point. Wherever possible, people should be supported to explore their options first — including practical support, temporary help, specialist guidance or ethical rehoming when it is genuinely needed.
HomeWagger is not here to replace shelters or existing services. We are here to help people find the right support, at the right time, through the right pathway.

The problem we’re trying to solve
Every year, people face housing problems, illness, financial hardship, bereavement, relationship breakdown, domestic abuse and other life changes that can affect their ability to care for a dog.
Many people do not know where to turn when their dog’s future feels uncertain. Some feel pushed toward rehoming before they have had the chance to explore support, temporary care, specialist advice or safer alternatives.
At the same time, shelters, rescues and professionals are often under pressure, receiving complex enquiries without clear referral pathways or enough support around the person’s wider situation.
HomeWagger was created to offer a calmer, more structured alternative. We help people explore what may be possible first, then support responsible adoption or ethical rehoming when that is the safest and kindest outcome for the dog.

HomeWagger is not designed as a marketplace. It is a welfare-first support platform that helps people explore options, make calmer decisions and move toward ethical rehoming only when it is genuinely needed.
