Ethical dog rehoming infrastructure — built with shelters, not around them

Designed to reduce admin, protect welfare, and bring more structure to rehoming — without adding pressure to your team.

HomeWagger is a public platform for adopters and rehomers, and a SaaS toolkit for shelters. We’re onboarding a small number of shelters first, so you can use the platform in real cases before deciding whether it’s right for your team.

Early access comes first.
Full Pro features during onboarding.
Decide later if you want to continue as a founding or early supporter shelter.

Early access includes two limited groups:

  • Founding Shelters — 5 places at £19/month
  • Early Supporters — next 25 places at £25/month

You’ll only choose after onboarding and real use.

You get tools to vet, manage, and rehome with confidence — all in one place. Our EOI-first approach means you can review suitability before your team invests time in full applications or long conversations.

Why shelters choose HomeWagger

Less pressure. Better matches. Fewer dogs falling through the cracks.

Shelters are being asked to do more — with less. HomeWagger exists to reduce pressure and prevent avoidable crises by improving alignment early, while keeping welfare decisions firmly with you.

Because pressure is real

  • • Intake demand exceeds kennel capacity
  • • Staff and volunteers are stretched thin
  • • Behavioural and medical cases are rising
  • • Public expectations continue to grow

HomeWagger exists to reduce that pressure — not add to it.

Shelter volunteers supporting a dog

Because prevention is welfare

Many dogs would otherwise sit on waiting lists, be passed around informally, or end up surrendered in emergencies. By supporting early, ethical, home-to-home rehoming, HomeWagger helps you:

  • • Reduce last-minute surrenders
  • • Keep dogs out of kennels where possible
  • • Preserve capacity for urgent and complex cases

Because you stay in control

When you list on HomeWagger, you retain full oversight. Welfare standards are not reduced, and final decisions always remain with the shelter.

Our Rehome With Reason approach supports case-by-case assessment so fewer good adopters are lost to blanket assumptions — resulting in better matching and a lower risk of failed placements.

EOI first — calmer, earlier screening

HomeWagger uses structured Expressions of Interest (EOIs) as the first step — not full applications. This lets you review suitability early and decide whether to progress, redirect, or decline before your team invests time.

  • • Adopter profile & household snapshot
  • • Lifestyle + preference alignment for that dog
  • • Vetting status + verification checks where applicable
  • • Optional walkthrough video for added context
  • • Relevant uploads such as landlord permission where needed

Gated messaging — by design

To protect capacity and prevent inbox overload, messaging only opens once you accept an EOI. No unsolicited messages. No speculative conversations. No pressure to engage prematurely.

You decide who, when, and whether conversations begin — messaging is a continuation of interest, not the starting point.

Tools that support decisions

Optional tools that support your workflow without replacing human judgement:

  • • EOI status tracking (new / reviewed / accepted / declined)
  • • Listing insights (views, favourites, interest trends)
  • • Visibility of overlooked dogs so you can adjust and improve listings
  • • Clear communication trail for each match

The EOI rehoming loop

A structured workflow that helps you screen earlier, communicate clearly, and reduce admin — while improving outcomes for dogs.

1

Listing + clarity

Better upfront information reduces unsuitable enquiries later.

  • Clear needs and home requirements
  • Media showing real behaviour
  • Notes that reduce repeat questions
2

Guided EOI

Screen before admin time is spent.

  • Adopter profile snapshot
  • Lifestyle fit for that dog
  • Key flags surfaced early
3

Accept / redirect / decline

Stay in control of each case.

  • Early declines reduce fallout
  • Less time on unsuitable cases
  • Keep good adopters engaged
4

Messaging (gated)

Only open conversations when it matters.

  • No unsolicited messages
  • No speculative back-and-forth
  • Higher quality conversations
5

Checks + next steps

Support your existing adoption process.

  • Clear stage tracking
  • All communication in one place
  • Less duplication
6

Close the loop

Clear outcomes improve future matching.

  • Cleaner records
  • Better visibility on outcomes
  • Fewer failed placements
Result: calmer screening, fewer dead-end conversations, and better long-term outcomes for dogs.

Common shelter headaches we help prevent

HomeWagger is designed to remove problems before they become time-consuming, emotionally draining, or welfare-critical:

  • • Time spent progressing unsuitable adopters
  • • Emotionally difficult late-stage declines
  • • Inbox overload and speculative enquiries
  • • Emergency rehoming fallout
  • • Failed or short-lived placements
  • • Repeating the same explanations again and again
Overwhelmed admin workload

Without a structured loop

  • ❌ High volume of speculative enquiries
  • ❌ Full applications started before suitability is clear
  • ❌ Messaging begins without boundaries
  • ❌ Time invested in unlikely matches
  • ❌ Emotionally difficult late-stage declines
  • ❌ Poor visibility on what converts — and why
  • ❌ Repeat rehoming when alignment wasn’t strong

With the HomeWagger EOI rehoming loop

  • ✅ Guided Expressions of Interest before full applications
  • ✅ Early visibility of adopter suitability
  • ✅ Messaging only opens once you accept an EOI
  • ✅ Clear stage tracking from interest → outcome
  • ✅ Earlier, calmer declines when needed
  • ✅ Closed-out outcomes (adopted / not proceeding / redirected)
  • ✅ Better long-term placement stability

Result: Fewer dead-end conversations. Less admin rework. More predictable workflows. Better outcomes for dogs.

A safer alternative when people can’t wait for kennel space

When shelters can’t take a dog immediately, people often turn to Facebook groups, classifieds, or word-of-mouth transfers. HomeWagger offers a more regulated alternative with clearer information, safer boundaries, and welfare-first design.

HomeWagger complements shelter work — it doesn’t compete with it. We signpost to shelters when appropriate, encourage shelter adoption where capacity allows, and support shelter-listed dogs alongside individuals.

A typical shelter scenario — before vs after

Before

A dog is listed on social media. Dozens of enquiries arrive, many with very little context. Your team spends time answering repeat questions, chasing missing details, and trying to work out who is actually suitable.

By the time an unsuitable match is declined, time and emotional energy have already been spent.

After

The dog is listed once with clear welfare context. Interested adopters submit guided EOIs first. Your team sees the right information early, only opens messaging when there is genuine potential, and keeps the process organised from interest to outcome.

The result is less inbox chaos, fewer dead-end conversations, and more confidence in the match.

How HomeWagger fits into shelter workflows

Use HomeWagger alongside your website and social channels — or as your main rehoming hub. Either way, it’s designed to support how rescues already work.

1) Share your dogs

List your dogs once, then share links anywhere you already reach adopters.

2) Screen earlier

Review profiles and EOIs before you move to full applications or viewings.

3) Place with confidence

Keep your checks and criteria — with clearer information from day one.

Shelter FAQs

What is HomeWagger — is it just another listing site?

No. HomeWagger is structured rehoming infrastructure. While you can list dogs, the core value is the guided Expression of Interest (EOI) workflow, controlled messaging, and stage tracking that supports your existing vetting process.

It’s designed to reduce admin noise, surface suitability earlier, and give shelters clearer operational visibility — not just more exposure.

Is HomeWagger a marketplace for shelter dogs?

No. There are no paid boosts, bidding systems, or “first come, first served” dynamics. HomeWagger is welfare-led and suitability-based. Adoption decisions always remain with the shelter.

How does the EOI system reduce admin?

Instead of open-ended enquiries or scattered emails, adopters submit structured Expressions of Interest. Your team can review suitability before progressing to full applications or home checks.

Messaging only opens once you accept an EOI — protecting your inbox and reducing speculative conversations.

Do we still control who adopts?

Absolutely. Your team retains full control over screening, home checks, references, and final decisions. HomeWagger supports your standards — it does not override them.

How does early access work — do we pay upfront?

No — there’s no upfront commitment.

Selected shelters are onboarded first and receive full Pro access during early access. This allows your team to use the platform in real cases before making any decision.

If it works for your team, you can then choose to continue as a Founding Shelter (£19/month) or Early Supporter (£25/month).

If it’s not the right fit, there’s no obligation to continue.

What is the Founding Shelter Circle?

The Founding Shelter Circle is a limited group of 5 shelters within our early access programme. These shelters secure a £19/month lifetime rate after onboarding.

All shelters start with early access first — meaning you’ll use the platform with full Pro features during onboarding before deciding whether to secure a founding place.

Founding rate: £19/month (first month free) or £190/year (save £38).

Is there a free shelter option?

Yes. We offer a Free Shelter tier that allows a limited number of active listings, structured EOIs, and controlled messaging.

This is designed for small or volunteer-led rescues who want to explore the platform before upgrading to Pro tools.

What does Pro include?

Pro includes unlimited listings, workflow tracking, insights, document tools, and additional operational visibility for busy shelter teams.

During early access, these features are available as part of onboarding, so you can experience them before deciding whether to continue.

Standard Pro pricing is £34/month at public launch.

What if we’re not ready yet?

That’s completely fine.

You can join early access when the timing feels right for your team. There’s no pressure to rush — we’re keeping onboarding intentionally small so we can support properly.

If you’re unsure, you can still apply and we’ll let you know honestly whether it’s a good fit right now or better to join slightly later.

Will this replace our website or existing platforms?

No. Many shelters use HomeWagger alongside their website and social channels. It can act as your structured workflow hub while you continue reaching adopters elsewhere.

Do you support small or volunteer-run rescues?

Yes. HomeWagger was built with volunteer-led teams in mind. The platform focuses on clarity, calm screening, and reducing repetitive admin — without requiring complex software or technical expertise.
